Institutions here buy software from far away, or they do not buy it at all. The systems that arrive are built for different assumptions — reliable power, reliable bandwidth, one language, a support desk in another timezone — and the organisations running them end up maintaining a workaround instead of a system.
SAYNIS was set up to close that gap from inside the region. We are based in Jigjiga, in the Somali Region. We work under the same conditions as the organisations we build for, and we build systems that keep working when the connection does not.
We are early. We have a small senior team and a short history, and we would rather say that plainly than pad this page. What we can offer is direct access to the people who build your system, and engineering practice that is documented and inspectable.
